Body Count Matters
When you hear of research that says the average person’s body count is X, keep in mind all such information is self-reported. Women cut their number to about a third or more of what it really is and men will at least double the number. Depending on which survey you look at, this puts the average for women around thirty sexual partners and for men around five or six. Promiscuous women and the men in relationships with them will argue for the lower numbers in the so-called research but again, self-reported surveys do not consist of actual data. These surveys are qualitative research that are as scientifically accurate as asking 100 people their favorite flavor of ice cream to deduce the world’s best food.
This low average for men confuses women because the guys they’re having sex with have far more than five or six partners but this is because most women are having sex with a small percentage of men. There’s no way to quantify this perfectly for the reasons mentioned above but the data from extensive research on dating apps confirms what we see in daily life; the overwhelming majority of sexually active women are sharing the top 5% of men. When the fun is over and women start looking to settle down, this creates a problem of supply and demand. What makes a woman a top 5% woman is a separate topic but suffice it to say it’s about more than just looks but these are the women capable of locking down the 5% man. This leaves most women with a tragically skewed perception of their own mate value and resulting bitterness towards all men, not just the small percentage that used them for sex.
