What Women Want In A Man

When trying to figure out what women want from a man, watch what they do and ignore what they say. Sounds overly simple but the difference between what most women say they want and what they show by their actions is significant. Anecdotal observations from the dating market are clear, at least when women are younger, they prefer the so-called bad boy. The hot guy who’s reticent to commit and always a narcissist in retrospect. As women age however and security becomes a higher priority, we start to see women choosing men who are more stable, nicer and open to commitment. Is this an accurate representation of what women want or are most of these women settling for less than their heart truly desires?

Social media is chock full of women asking “where are all the good men?” and making their lists of what they want in a man; honest, kind, funny and so on. Rarely though do they say they want hot, arrogant and non-committal though these types of men really are getting the lions’ share of dates. Gurus supposedly advocating for men offer some good advice about getting to the gym and other such things but then also reiterate women want nicer, kinder, caring men. Then there’s the pseudo-academics who constantly cite questionable “research” supporting the same message of the kinder, nicer man being the woman’s true desire. Men who have struggled with getting dates are left in the wind, confused by the seemingly reasonable advice and how that’s obviously not working in the real world. When these men do find themselves in relationships, they quickly realize women have burdened them with rules her previous partners never lived by. Obvious question in their minds being “why did her narcissistic ex get wild sex on the first date but the nice guy has to wait for months if it’s the nice guy she really wanted?”
